Siebel Institute Advanced Homebrewing Program Worth It?

Wed Apr 04, 2012 4:56 am

Not sure if I'm posting this in the right spot, and I've looked around the forum but haven't really found any information. Has anyone taken taken this class or have any inforamtion about it? (http://www.siebelinstitute.com/courses- ... ng-program)

Trying to find out if it's really worth taking or not because the $1,975 price tag is pretty pricey. Any inforamtion would be great.

Thanks.

I'm sure it would be, and a hefty price tag means you'd sure be paying attention and trying to get every last bit of information out of it.. That being said, I haven't taken it, and wouldn't able to afford it, so making due with the knowledge of this community. :jnj

Yea, I'm trying to figure out if it's really going to teach me more than I already know. I don't consider myself an expert, but i don't consider myself a beginner either. The hands on experience would be great, and the instructors who are teaching it really is what caught my eye.

From everything I have read about it, it is by far from a school for the beginner. Read about one of the classes teach how to count yeast cell propagation correctly under a microscope, I know a good bit about brewing, but I don't know stuff like that. I like most other advanced home brewers know the general items as it relates to brewing.

Have you listened to the Sunday Session on Siebel? They go over the program and what it covers/covered...
