Yeah, I like a number of their beers, but am saddened to hear that they acted like jackwads to your crew. Unless you guys are all a bunch of dicks, then you probably deserved it. :P

Well, we are a bunch of :asshat: ...just not on that occasion (we wanted to go in after our 1hour+ drive)

the response we got was basically.... sorry your visit went poorly, but....then why they still think they are right....

oddly enough after this incident and speaking with a couple of other local brewers/beer media...victory is known for being jackasses and people usually don't work there for more than a year because the environment is so bad...that's all second hand info, but seemed to ring true with my experience there.

It's crazy how this went down, we get nothing but top notch treatment everywhere our club goes. Unfortunately for them south jerseys largest homebrew club (also voted best homebrew club in philly beer scene) will not be supporting victory.

This is a real shame. I can buy their beers where I live and I like them. I'd like to know what comes of this, if they offer a response of some kind. Does this fish really stink from the head down? Maybe if any of their peers in the industry see this and can offer any opinion, might be helpful. If it's worthy of a BN boycott, then Hoist The Flag! Aaarrg!

Hey Brewranger, sucks you had a shitty time. I'm a B.U.Z.Z. member, Billy Corgan's other club, we go run through by one of our member at that time a manger there. We had about the same number of people as well as my 4yr old with us, did dinner and a few beers before. We were treated pretty well, needless to say the 4yr old diving into the hop bales was popular. And now they have stopped doing tours due to stepping up their brewing schedule so they wouldn't even try to make it up to you.
IH West Chester do kick ass though, that's our club meeting spot.

BTW you got Philly's #1 club because someone forgot us : )

I had an "unfulfilling" experience at Allagash. It was not like the Victory beef, but not a "craft beer experience" at a place where some pretty cool stuff is happening. I mailed a letter addressed to Rob Tod. Snail mail still works! I got a pretty good personal email from Rob himself. My letter got "passed around the office and generated conversation." I guess it just depends on how much the owner and "upper mgmt" cares...
