I moved to the UK from the States some 6 months ago and while I've been here I have been fine - up to this point - grudgingly working through simple lagers and a few ales at my local non-CAMRA pubhouse as a tradeoff for good conversation, during those evening sessions I can't help but think of all the greats from back home that I'd rather be filling my glass with. Honestly, what I wouldn't do for an 08 Vertical Epic, Deschutes' Abyss, Port Brewery Old Viscosity or even a dogfish head Punkin Ale... Among everything i miss from across the pond, American craft beer is at the TOP of the list.
So, I just spent the last few hours searching the web for craft/micro brew distributors in London and have come up with nothing!
Needless to say, this is unfortunate; that and I am freaking out right now.
I know the BN sunday session guys did a piece on the rise of British craft brew a few months back but, WTF, what about American Craft brews in England!? Am i doomed not to have a fridge well stocked with my favorites from home?
If anyone has any details or information on this it'd be much appreciated. If i have to special order it from the states I may end up doing that eventually but I am really hoping that there is a store out there that I can just walk in and pick up something nice.
