Re: Gordon Biersch changeover

Good response by the company but it is a load of crap on the Gordon name. Sure they asked them politely to stop using the name... but the beer is good so it got wider distribution. Sweet, a C&D letter, way to be an adult about a generic name like "Gordon." I guess I'm boycotting my local Rock Bottom now. Thats ok... the beer was bad anyway and the menu was changed recently so there is no real reason to go.

A: Why would anyone who loves real beer ever go to a Rock Bottom Brewery?

and

2: Oskar Blues is badass: if you've ever been to Lyons (or Longmont) you wold know what they are (were) up against. I love "the Dan" but sorry - GB is now a parent company that produces corporate beer that might as well be BMC. (Okay, the quality is there, but acting like this changes a consumer's perception.)

Let the best beer win. Anyone who has had the original Gordon will know. Don't be fooled by a PR hack -I've paid them a fortune in my time in business, and they're worth their money. That means their word change people's minds (and that might not be legitimate).

By the way - I brewed a beer called "HighCounty Beer" and copyrighted that bitch. So if you try to call your beer "beer", I'll have Moscow's cousin after you in a heartbeat.

Litigatingly yours,
