The other day I was sitting in my favorite German restaurant, when an old acquaintance came in. I've know the guy for about ten years, but seen him in passing very infrequently. I invited him and his wife to join me at the bar after their dinner, and that I had a growler of homebrew for him to try.
He proceeded to tell that he had brew two batches thus far after being at my house several years ago and seeing a fermenting carboy. Of course I went into the usual battery of question about his processes. I almost soiled my breeches when he told me he didn't sanitize anything! I ended up inviting him over to see an all grain batch brewed. Seeing my kegerator and draught set up was all it took. Hook, line and sinker.
The community has been increased by one more. He's even listening to The Brewing Network archives now. I need to remember to tell his wife that I'll not be held accountable for making her a Brewing Widow.
