EJ Phair update

Wed May 03, 2006 2:10 pm

A few of you guys know that I was scheduled to help Morgan brew my 70 shilling Scottish Heavy for EJ Phair. I just wanted to post an update to let you all know that I took a vacation day at work yesterday and did just that... Morgan put together a great version of my 70 shilling, all the while stuffing my head full of info and showing me how a pro brewer does it. I'm now officially in awe of his mad skillz.

The beer should be on tap at EJ's in Concord in 2 or 3 weeks. I'll make sure to keep you updated, and when you're done draining the kegs at 21st amendment you could mosey by EJ's and drain the kegs there too. I'm sure they won't have gone through all 500 gallons or so by then :)

I have a ton of pics I took and once I get them sorted out and into some semblance of order I'll post them for everyone.

Morgan told me it's selling pretty well but there should be plenty left by the time you get here. We brewed something like 18 barrels of the stuff.

Damn it's tasty though. I'm pretty proud of it. Send me some email at gary dot foster at gmail dot com when you get closer to being here and I'll make sure I block out some time. I'll bring some of my own stuff too :)
