"What brewing software are you using?"

Thu Apr 27, 2006 8:50 am

Is anyone beta testing the new version of Beer Tools Pro? I am and it looks like it will be a pretty good program if they add some more options like a mashing schedule and session notes. I use Promash now, it works but it can be a bit confusing.
so what the best software out there?

The "best" software is the one that your are currently using that you are comfortable with. The specific flavor depends on the user. I use Promash. It is a little awkward to use some things, but for what I use it for the most, it does just fine and I find no reason to change. The experience of others will definitely vary.

I have also used the Recipator and SUDS, both easy to use, but limited in scope. I went to Promash when I got serious about brewing and designing recipes.

I agree with Wayne. You might want to rename the poll, "What brewing software are you using?"

I use Promash because that's what I learned on. Also the Promash developer, Jeff Donovan, monitors the B3 forum for any issues that arise. That's great customer support. I'm that the other products are the same in that catogory too. Brewers helping brewers, etc.
