iipa finished high

I brewed a 5 gal. partial mash iipa on 3/8/2008
Kegged on 4/2/2008
Estimated Original Gravity: 1.102
Estimated Final Gravity: 1.026 SG
Measured Original Gravity: 1.101
Measured Final Gravity: 1.043

I used a good sized starter of Pacman yeast.
Fermentation seemed to go fine but after close to a month it was still way high.
I thought maybe if it had a little age to it it might get better. I was wrong(well so far at least) tastes like shit.
So, it's already carbonated and in a keg, any ideas.

Can I decarb and repitch?
Should I risk blending it, and if so with what?
Or should I take off my pants and down it cause it's still 7.62 %

Sounds like it's cloyingly sweet, which probably won't go away. You could blend it with a really dry Pale Ale (even add some Beano to it to really dry it out).

Or you could degas it and try to throw some Champagne yeast in, which wouldn't need a starter or anything.

Yeah, repitch. I'd try some cal ale first, then champagne if that doesn't dry it out.

Transfer to carboy and throw on an airlock?

That was one of the options I was considering, just didn't want to waste 89 ibu's, there's a hop shortage ya know

make a starter of cal ale yeast and put into a keg, or purge a carboy and then just transfer to beer onto the starter. Make sure the starter is at High Kreusen, and it will finish your beer off. Also try not to splash it or it could be a problem is you want to age it. Let us know how it works out!
