Let it sit a while and keep tasting it. I started a Berliner early last year, late last year it tasted very harsh, like rubbing alcohol. I didnt have the heart to dump it. Ive been avoiding eye contact with that glass carboy for 5 months...I decided today was the day, but one last taste...Its good!!!!
I dont have much to offer on this site, but for newbies like me trying to brew these beers that take time...dont rush to dumping them based on off flavors early or in the middle of the ferm process. Thanks to all that have helped me with this beer...BREWINHARD
