Here is a recipe I'm concoctting this evening....

Steep mash:
Briess 2 Row Caramel 40 1 lbs
Briess 2-Row Brewer's Malt 12 oz
Biscuit 8 oz

Add in the malt:
Munton's Light Liquid Extract 6 lbs, 9.6 oz

Hop schedule:
Nugget Pellets 1.5 oz @ 60 mins
Centennial Pellets 0.5 oz @ 30 mins
Centennial Pellets 0.3 oz @ 5 mins
Cascade Pellets 1 oz Dry hop

Pitching:
Wyeast 1272

OG=1.066, FG=1.017, IBU= 64.3, SRM= 10.50, ABV= 6.42....or so I figure!

The name is still being decided upon

Any and all comments needed....I'm headed to the LHBS soon!

According to Beer Smith, the numbers come up quite a bit differently than yours.

OG: 1.050
FG: 1.012
IBU: 87.3
SRM: 12.1
ABV: 4.86

Basically, it looks like you have a Pale Ale malt bill with IPA bitterness. If that's you're thing, go for it. If not, I would cut back on the early addition hops.

well...ive decided to add 1.25 lbs of LDME to the recipe to get the OG up to where it needs to be...I used the brew warehouse web based calculator for the original recipe...when I crunched the numbers myself I found found some "shortcomings" Hope this helps....anyone else wanna add more suggestions by all means feel free!
