More praise for Brewing Classic Styles

Fri Jul 03, 2009 12:36 pm

I am an apartment brewer who is still confined to extract by my constant moving. I just recently got Brewing Classic Styles and was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was more than just Jamil's amazing recipe's - that it was also about improving your extract brews. I did the half-extract for the boil with the last half thrown in with 10 minutes to go and my English bitter turned out kick-ass-tical (in my biased opinion). As expected the hop utilization was also awesome. The color was light and clear with much less malyard reactions that I'm used to. This beer has been so good that I've drank three bottles before it's even properly carbonated (yeah, I'm still bottling too).

Thanks again John for your contribution to this book.
