Finally Brewing Again!

Tue Apr 07, 2009 1:12 pm

It's been almost a year, but I finally made to the brew shop and picked up ingredients for a Pale Ale and a Porter. Pale Ale is on the stove as I type this. I love the smell of brewing. Of course the rest of the family hates it, but I love it. Here's to wishing me luck on a couple decent batches of brew. :jnj

Good for you! Just make sure you wear the appropriate attire. :nutters:
And remember to Brew Strong! Post here after it's done and tell us how it went and how it tastes.

I am in the same boat, except it has been 15 years - did 30 batches in college then too much happened in life and my brewing suffered. My first attempt is a pseudo "Hammerhead" clone for any Oregonians out there. Good Cascade/Amber; 2 Row, Munich malt, 60L Crystal, 4 oz cascade - 60 (2 oz),30 (1 oz),5 (1 oz). Used Northwest 1332 from Wyeast.

In Conical 4 days now as of this typing. Can not wait to keg and drink!!!

Welcome back!!
