Is it important to brew the wort to be brewed in a stainless steal pot??? If it's not in this style pot will it make the beer bitter and foul?

You can use whatever kind of pot you have. I think there are a couple materials that you want to avoid but for the most part you can use anything.

If you use aluminum, make sure that you don't scrub off the oxide layer. It should protect the acidic wort from dissolving the aluminum.
