Foodsaver to store unused LME?

Tue Mar 24, 2009 8:00 pm

Has anyone played around with using the foodsaver canisters to store unused LME?

I have a bag from williams that I was planning on splitting between two batches, which will probably be separated by a couple of weeks. I recently got a food saver w/ some canisters and thought that this might be a pretty good way of storing it as it'd be a vacuum.

Thoughts?

I use the bags for hops and dme. U could use the bags for lme too, just be careful not to suck the liquid into the vacuum channel.
