Predicting SRM

I applied standard calculations to predict SRM for a Strong Dark Belgian I'm brewing. I got the following SRMs per pound for each of the grains I used:

Carapils: 1.55L
Special B: 180L
Pilsner LME:2.25L
Dark Candi Sugar: 275L
Soft Brown Sugar:60L

I steeped the Carapils and Special B. I added the LME and sugar end of boil.

Multiplying each value per pounds used and adding the values, I got a total of 723...then divided by 5 gallons to get the MCU:

I got MCU= 723/5=144.6

And SRM= 1.4922 *(MCU^^0.6859)

SRM= 1.4922 * 144.6^^0.6859

SO,

SRM=47 ?????

But the color of my my beer is closer to 20 SRM. So, what am I missing?

You probably did not extract as much color from steeping as you think you did.

Yeah...I was thinking something like that. I should have done a mini-mash vs steeping.
