Anchor's OBASan Francisco kicked off it's first annual SF Beer Week on February 6th at Anchor Brewing Company with a meet and greet of brewers and media toasting to what promises to be an amazing week of bay area beer.

The brewers and media in attendance were treated to a host of Anchor beer, including a brand new, limited edition, barrel aged blend of anchor beers, dubbed O.B.A. or Our Barrel Ale. In fact, Fritz Maytag himself unveiled and spoke about the beer to us, revealing little known company secrets, and a side of himself rarely seen in public. The 200 or so people lucky enough to be in attendance, stood in silence, and indeed in awe, as Fritz spoke deliberately, and humurously, about a beer he never thought he'd make.
